At 5pm only GMT, TIG will be hosting EED28 and AED113. We will then change districts again afterwards, so people cannot just sit in that district.

Where's the Rum have already been put down on the list for this district-you've probably already sorted this out though...
Anyways, hope you are enjoying yourself. I wont update the list anymore as i am busy busy busy in game-I have been too busy all weekend to do any of the quests so im trying to squeeze them in around finales. Hope you all enjoy the remainder of the event!

A guildie and I have been guerilla-hosting completely empty high numbered districts all day, finding empty ones and doing them slowly so people can trickle in after having been in another district (or just very late to the final). Works out pretty nice, there's always a capacity crowd at the time the gifts get handed out. And we've been receiving gifts too! There's some very generous people around.
Taking a break from it now because of a pressing need for some sleep. We'll be doing one more at the very last final. Because of the way we work, I can't give a district number.

Thanks Freebies for all the work you put into this thread, I found it very helpful.
I organised 6 accounts across several districts through the events, thanks to all who hosted a dis, especially to all the people who ran the ingredients.

@Gli: That is a pretty awesome way to do it, kudos to you.
Thanks to everyone who turned up in ID14 where we hosted all events and also thanks to the Guilds in ID13 where we sometimes sent stragglers who couldn't get into ID14.
Thanks to everyone who hosts a district, every year it is cool to see people doing something for the community as a whole. See you next year!

Thanks to TeG and GODS alliance for hosting (the district I visited the most for the event), and to the other guilds and alliances that also hosted (for the times I couldn't get into the TeG/GODS district). All your work made the day more fun for many of us!

Thanks to Bots and MK for hosting AD36 where I spent the whole event. They had some fun trivia contests and of course catch the asuran and bunny.

Big thank you
I would like to offer a big thank you to all who sponsered the many hundreds of districts that were created this Canthan New Year. Having attempted to farm ingredients for an event i hosted 2 years ago, I know its a mammoth task, and i only farmed 5 sets-an extra 4 must have been far less fun. I am very grateful to you all, and I hope you all had fun i your districts.
It was great for me to run this thread-I always find it amazing to see so many people offering to sponsor districts with all these feasts. I'm sure many species of spiders, phantoms, kappa and all host of other creatures are now extinct, but having visited a few districts, I can see it was all worth the effort. Its the hard work of everyone here that sponsors districts that makes the Canthan New Year amazing-I'm sure very few people got the pleasure of being transformed into a rabbit by the Great Celestial thanks to your hard work in farming these ingredients.
I am sure the situation will be the same next year-the districts sponsered by all manner of generous guilds. I hope to re-launch the thread for next year probably just after Halloween-unless someone beats me to it, which I'm sure someone will. I hope this thread helped you in some way, and I hope you all enjoyed Sunday's festivities. Thank you to you all, and Happy Canthan New Year!

Just some hints from the voice of experience. The tips below held us (DVDF) in very good stead where one year we did a total of 78 districts over the 24 hours with not a single meal missed.
Each district can only hold about 150 people. By advertising your districts early you run the risk of them being full, thus making it very difficult to get your givers to those districts on time. So either camp there early or announce them 15 mins or so beforehand(which is what we did).
It can take a lot of time to 'refill' a giver and check they have everything. We solved this by having dedicated players in the guild hall who would refill people right after each event. We found it took at least 30 mins to fill up everyone for a district and double check everything
If you find someone has 'taken over' your district either find another one or share it with them. There are plenty to go around.
Speaking of sharing, by sticking to one district you ensure the AFK'ers will get multiple rewards. If that's what you want to happen, then great. Otherwise consider moving to less populated ones to allow more people to reap your generosity.
Perhaps we should nominate a district where no ingredients will be given, as the consequences are a great deal of fun too. A regional District 9 or 13 perhaps.
Also consider a backup giver of ingredients for each district you do. if you DC or Err 7 you may find it impossible to get back in again and so your event will fail.
Hope this helps.

Speaking as the leader of a Guild that sponsors a regional district 9... Nooooooooooooo0o0o0o0o0o0o0oooo
Otherwise yay - Another tip is if you have enough characters, split the ingredients weeks beforehand onto each of them. Then just bring each character in for each finale.
Hope it went well for everybody. Port Sledge Snow Cones [Cold] shipped just shy of 5000 items during the finales - splitting the rewards between those donating (30%) and the collectors (70%), many people ended up with a hundred fortunes.
Ummm and we have started hitting the nightmares in ring of fire again already *blushes*.
